Her remarkable journey, from inheriting her father’s pathology business to transforming it into a global healthcare powerhouse, has earned widespread acclaim and recognition.

Ameera Shah hails from a family deeply rooted in the medical field, with her father, Dr Sushil Shah, and mother, Dr Duru Shah, being renowned pathologists and gynaecologists, respectively. Raised in Mumbai within a family of medical professionals, including her elder sister, Aparna Shah, a geneticist, Ameera embarked on her educational journey with commerce studies at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. She later pursued a finance degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

Her pursuit of knowledge led her to work with Goldman Sachs in New York and complete the Owner-President Management Program at Harvard Business School. This multinational chain now comprises 125 diagnostic labs, generating $90 million in revenue and employing 4,500 individuals. Ameera’s astute business acumen culminated in the successful listing of the company in April 2019, marking a significant milestone in the healthcare industry.
