Her academic pursuits included earning a philosophy degree from Miranda House, University of Delhi. A transformative moment in Neeti’s career unfolded when she caught the attention of the legendary A. R. Rahman. Through auditions for Rahman’s US tour, Neeti secured her place after a successful vocal audition, marking the commencement of her collaboration with the maestro.

Bollywood Breakthrough (2012–2014)

Neeti Mohan’s breakthrough in Bollywood arrived with the Vishal–Shekhar-composed “Ishq Wala Love” from Student of the Year (2012). Her spirited rendition earned her the Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent. Subsequently, her lively track “Jiya Re” from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) garnered critical acclaim, resulting in a nomination for Best Female Playback Singer.
