Early Life and Education

Commencing her educational journey at Welham Girls’ School in Dehradun, Renuka pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Psychology from Bangalore University. In 1973, she entered a new chapter in life by marrying Sreedhar Chowdhury, laying the foundation for her impactful career.

Political Career Takes Flight

Entering politics in 1984 as a member of the Telugu Desam Party, Renuka served two consecutive terms in the Rajya Sabha, earning recognition as the Chief Whip of the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party from 1986 to 1998. Transition to the Congress Party
